- Supply two identical photos with your application
- Must be a portrait orientated photo (so don’t choose our landscape crop or shrink to fit options)
- Photos must be colour (not black & white)
- Taken against a plain cream or plain light grey background
- Taken within the last month
- Face free from shadows
- Eyes are open and clearly visible (no sunglasses or tinted glasses, and no hair across your eyes)
- No reflection or glare on your glasses, and the frames must not cover your eyes (where possible, we recommend you remove your glasses)
- Eyes must be free of red-eye
- Face forward looking straight at the camera
- Have a neutral expression with your mouth closed (no grinning, frowning or raised eyebrows)
- You must be on your own (no other people on the photo and babies must be without toys or a dummy)
- Your head should be shown without any covering, unless worn for religious beliefs or medical reasons
- Nothing covering your face
- Photo is sharp and clear
- Strong definition between face and background
